INSTALL
The installation of an East UK electronics is of course different from bass to bass, but usually easy to do. The included installation instructions help with this. The electronics are completely pre-wired, the pickups are connected via screw-terminals, only the ground connection must be soldered.

J-RETRO 01
John East, bassist and studio technician, created a bass preamp for his vintage jazz bass. He did not want to touch the wood, so a compact design was created, in which all functions (bass, treble, parametric midrange, panorama and volume) are distributed on three double pots and two mini switches and the battery has space under the circuit board.
J-Tone 01
How can I preserve my original sound while still having active bass and treble control without having to do woodwork on my Jazz Bass? The solution: The East J-Tone 01 preamp features original passive J-Bass wiring combined with high-quality active tone control. The necessary 9-volt battery can be accommodated in the unit. The preamp can be easily installed by anyone without soldering and altering the instrument.
EAST UNI-PRE
The Uni-Pre is a new generation bass preamp from East UK, the maker of the popular J-Retro EQ. The new modular design fits any bass with back routing, and works with all commercially available pickups. The Uni Pre is available as a two-band or three-band EQ with three, four or five controls and enhances the sound of each bass. Matching buttons are available in Chrome, Black or Gold.
The Uni-Pre has totally independent signal paths for active and passive, Class A FET inputs and Trimpotis for each individual pickup for high quality sound. Special pots enable optimal positioning of all controllers in the active and passive signal path.
