I was a Top Dealer for WAL Basses since 1980 when I had my shop “Mr. Bassman” in Frankfurt, Germany. Even when I sold the shop in 1987, I still had customers coming to my house ordering Wal Basses.

So way back in 1999, I had sold a fretless fivestring Wal to a player who some time later claimed he would like to have a fretted Wal but did not have the dough. I suggested he should get a fretted neck so he could switch around, and he thought that was a great idea. I called my old friend Pete The Fish at Wal in UK and ordered one. When I had the neck, I could not get in touch with my customer, and the neck  stayed in my office until now.

So up for sale is a 1999 Wal Bass neck 5 string showing the typical maple-mahogany-hornbeam center stripe-construction with rosewood fingerboard. Ready to be mounted to a Wal bass fivestring body. Brandnew as of 1999, unplayed, a one-time opportunity!
