Kai Eckhardt de Camargo

Kai Eckhardt de Camargo kennt wohl jeder Bassist, denn er hat eine traumhafte Karriere hingelegt: 

Als er 1984 seinen Master Abschluss am Berklee College of Music in der Tasche hatte, konnte er gleich bei John McLaughlin einstelgen. Anschliessend war er mit Billy Cobham und Aziza Mustafa Zadeh unterwegs. Er spielte mit Stanley Clarke, Wayne Shorter, Larry Coryell, Donald Byrd und die Meters. Nach vielen Jahren mit Garaj Mahal leitet er heute die Kai Eckhardt Band. Seinen Hot Wire Big Apple Bass spielt er seit 2002.

When he got his Master Degree at Berklee College of Music in 1984, he immediately started touring with John McLaughlin. After that, he was on the road with Billy Cobham and Aziza Mustafa Zadeh. Kai perfomed with Stanley Clarke, Wayne Shorter, Larry Coryell, Donald Byrd and the Meters. After many years with Garaj Mahal he now fronts the Kai Eckhardt Band. He plays his Hot Wire Big Apple Bass since 2002.
