MAKE IT SIMPLE
„I want a bass as simple as possible - but it must sound great,“ our customer said. No active bells and whistles, no fancy wood top, no batteries, just a tool that does the job.
I suggested an Inlaw body made of Cedro, a mahogany type, in a matte natural finish, and a maple neck with an Indian rosewood fingerboard.
He said he favoured our MM pickup, but no active electronics. Also he really liked the headstock of our Blues Bass.
Ahh..... some combination! But if it makes him happy...
We got it done. For some sound variety, I added a serial/parallel push/pull on the tone control. Sounds great, as you can hear in the video!
