Patrick Scales

Patrick has been the bass player with Klaus Doldinger´s Passport since 1994. He played Wolfgang Schmid's Hot Wire Bass at a Passport anniversary concert and soon found himself at Hot Wire to choose the right five-string. A Hot Wire Fretless five-string was soon added. As co-leader of the band Scales, he released 3 CDs under his own name. Including the CD “Grounded”, which was released by the renowned label Blue Note. He has been lecturing at music academies since 1996. He is currently teaching at the Munich University of Music and Drama. During recordings and concerts he worked with the following musicians among others: Pee Wee Ellis, Fred Wesley, Chuck Loeb, Don Grusin, George Whitty, Jason Rebello, Dave Samuels, Randy Brecker, Bob Mintzer, Jay Ashby, Ola Onabule, Joo Kraus, Adrian Mears, Johannes Enders, Gabor Bolla, Till Brönner, Max Herre, Uwe Ochsenknecht, Peter Horton, SWR Big Band and many more.
